Slimming world the Journey so far

Before I fell pregnant with Jack I was attending slimming world but I wasn't really focused I was losing a pound gaining a couple then I would lose a few more, basically messing about and once pregnant although I could have still attended I made the step to stop going and just focused on my pregnancy and getting fat. I should have carried on going whilst I was pregnant, because by the end of my pregnancy in January I weighed a massive 15 stone. By the time I joined slimming world 14 weeks ago, I was still weighing in at 13 stone and 9 pounds, literally this was the biggest I have been in my life so I made a promise to myself I wasn't going to be fat through my 30s, I have spent the whole of my life yo yo dieting and struggling with my weight, But this time I am determined to make it work, determined that by Christmas I am going to have a night out with my friends in a little black dress and feel good.

This is how I have managed to keep going so far each week on a Thursday I meal plan it helps to keep me focused it also saves money on the shopping bill, then at the end of the week I stick a little post-it in saying how much I have lost, so I can see what I have been doing each week.

I have also bought myself a diet doodle diary, this is a great way of keeping track of thoughts feeling exercise although its not an official slimming world product its a great way of staying motivated and keeping on track and a really cheap buy £2.99 available from The Works book shop online and in store.

fourteen weeks in and I am 29 pounds lighter that's two stones one pound and although I still have a long way to go, I am still feeling very motivated and I am really enjoying all the food that you can eat on the plan, Slimming world isn't just a diet its a new way of life, retraining yourself to eat the right things and still being able to have a little bit of what you enjoy, and I have never enjoyed food as much as I am at the moment. I will be keeping you up to date with the highs and inevitably the lows through the rest of my journey.
